O R D E R

This is the petition seeking quashing of the FIR No. 194/2023 dated 01.07.2023 registered at PS Hazarat Nizamuddin under Sections 323, 498A/406/34 of IPC.

During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 12.08.2023, wherein the petitioner No. 1 has agreed to pay a total sum of Rs. 13 lakhs as full and final settlement. 3.

A sum of Rs. 6.5 lakhs has already been paid and the balance sum of Rs. 6.5 lakhs is being paid today vide DD No. 038522 dated 13.11.2024 drawn on State Bank of India.

The petitioner is present in Court and is identified by Mr. ABB Singh, learned counsel. The respondent No. 2 is also present and is identified by SI Paras Dhyani, PS Hz. The parties state that they have arrived at a settlement out of their own free will and without any threat, pressure, coercion or undue influence. 6.

There is no child born out of the wedlock.

I am satisfied that the matter has been settled and the settlement is lawful. Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of the present FIR and the consequential proceedings emanating thereafter would bring peace and secure ends of justice.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
