By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing no. 21/2018, registered at Police Station Ashok Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323/341/354/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter „IPC'). 4.

The petitioners and respondent no. 2 to 6 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station Ashok Nagar, Delhi. 6.
Brief facts of the case are that the petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 6 were known to each other and on account of small issue of payment of money, some heated arguments were exchanged between the parties. Upon the complaint by respondent no. 2 to 6, the present FIR was registered against the petitioners under the relevant Sections. It is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi vide Settlement Agreement dated 07.11.2023.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 to 6 who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated that she has received the amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- vide Demand Draft (DD) bearing no. 232746 drawn on IDFC Bank. Therefore, she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8.
In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.
Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 21/2018, registered at Police Station Ashok Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Sections 323/341/354/506/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
