By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of the FIR bearing No. 280/2019, registered at Police Station Jafrabad, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State and the learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent no. 2. 5.

6.

The petitioner is present before this Court and has been identified by his counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned. 7.

Brief facts of the case are that the present FIR was registered at the instance of Manager of BSES against the petitioner. On a query made by this Court, the learned counsel for respondent no. 2, who is present before this Court, states that respondent no. 2 has received the entire amount and has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 8.

The learned APP for the State submits that the State also has no objection to the quashing of the present FIR 9.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 10.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 280/2019, registered at Police Station Jafrabad, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

11.

The petition stands disposed of. Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
