This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 months to make and pass the final Award.

It is stated that the matter is at the stage of cross-examination of the respondent's witnesses and the pleadings were voluminous in nature. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice to the respondent. 4.

Mr. Chauhan, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay.
