These are two connected writ petitions.

The Petitioners in both the matters essentially pray for directions to the authorities to nominate them to United Nations Mission ('UN Mission') in Democratic Republic of Congo. 3.

learned counsel representing the Respondents submits that the Petitioner is MD (Paediatrics) and he is posted in Composite Hospital, Border Security Force, Mawpat, Shillong, Meghalaya. He submits that the said Petitioner is a Specialist Medical Officer and hence, there is a conscious decision by the Government not to dispute such officer in UN Mission.

On the other hand, the learned counsel representing the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner has not been paid allowances available to Specialist Medical Officer.

Be that as it may, the said Petitioner cannot claim any right for his nomination to UN Mission.

In W.P.(C) 3471/2026, the Petitioner is working as Assistant Sub-Inspector (Ministerial). Similarly, the said Petitioner also cannot claim any right to be deputed in the UN Mission. 7.
In view of the aforesaid, the petitions stand dismissed. Pending applications also stand disposed of.

The date fixed before the learned Joint Registrar (Judicial), that is, 04.05.2026, stands cancelled.
