This writ petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "[a] Issue a writ of mandamus and direct the Respondent No.2 to issue formal recognition order in favour of the Petitioner for D.El.Ed course for additional intake of 100 / 3 units in pursuance of decision taken by it in its 255th meeting held on 02-06 August, 2016; and [b] Issue a writ of mandamus and direct the Respondent No.2 to reflect the status of the Petitioner for D.El.Ed course as a recognized institution upon its official website in the category of "Recognised Institutions", and" 2.

It is the case of the Petitioner that on 03.03.2015, NCTE issued public notice inviting applications from institutions for seeking recognition for various teacher training courses and pursuant thereto Petitioner submitted an application with NRC for seeking recognition for D.EL.Ed courses. NRC processed the applications, conducted inspections and vide decision taken in its 255th meeting held between 02 to 06 August, 2016 granted recognition to the Petitioner institution for the said courses from the academic session W.P.(C) 16942/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the decision taken by NRC was required to be conveyed to the Petitioner by issuing formal recognition orders under Section 14 of the NCTE Act, 1993. Additionally, NRC was required to upload the formal order on the official website of NCTE in the category of "Recognised Institutions" and reflect the status of each of the said courses as recognized by the NCTE. However, oblivious of this mandatory requirement, neither formal order of recognition has been uploaded on the website nor communicated to the Petitioner by NRC, despite passage of nearly a decade from the date of the decision taken in the 255th meeting 4.

Mr. Rupal, learned counsel for the Respondents, on instructions, from the Officer present in Court submits that formal order of recognition pursuant to decision taken in 255th meeting will be issued within three weeks from today and the same will be communicated to the Petitioner as well as uploaded on the official website reflecting the status of the Petitioner as a "Recognised Institution" for D.EL.Ed course.

In light of the stand taken by the Respondents, no further order is required to be passed in the present petition. Needless to state, Respondents shall abide by the assurance given to the Court and take necessary action within three weeks from today.
