Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as 'B.N.S.S.') (Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973), has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner, for issuing directions to the Respondent and/or Sentence Review Board (SRB), to consider the Case of the Petitioner for grant of Premature Release in FIR No. 75/2009 under Section 302/201/211/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Ashok Vihar, in which the Petitioner has already undergone the Sentence of more than 14 years.

Learned counsel for the State has appeared on advance Notice and submitted that the appropriate directions be issued for consideration of the Case of the Petitioner by the SRB.
