O R D E R

% 20.03.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 1st August, 2015, therefore, FIR No.286/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at police station Mansarovar Park on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed. Petitioner nos.2 to 5 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Gajender Singh PS Mansarovar Park. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 of her own free

will and without any undue force, coercion or pressure. She further submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 5th August, 2016 passed by Family Court, Shahdara District, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. She admits that she has already received `1,25,000/- out of the total settled amount. Remaining settled amount of `75,000/- has been paid by petitioner no.1 to respondent no.2 in Court today. Respondent no.2 submits that she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and that marriage between them has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, in the interest of justice, FIR No.286/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at police station Mansarovar Park is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
