This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of 6 months for making and publishing the final Award.

Ms. Ahlawat, learned standing counsel for the petitioner, states that the arbitration proceedings are at the final stage and only the Award needs to be passed.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Ms. Khaanna, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that she has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

For the reasons noted above, I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 6 months from today. 6.
