The Petitioner is a life convict in FIR No. 270/1998 under Sections 302/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at P.S., Prasad Nagar. His request for grant of the 3rd spell of furlough remains pending, constraining him to file the instant writ seeking mandamus. 2.
The Court is apprised that by order dated 8th November, 2025, the Petitioner's request for furlough has been allowed. 3.
It is further submitted that the Petitioner's co-convict, who is also his wife, is presently on parole, and in view of Note (1) of Rule 1224 of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, this may impede the Petitioner from availing the benefit of the aforesaid order.

it is clarified that, notwithstanding the fact that the Petitioner's wife is presently on parole, the Petitioner shall be entitled to avail the furlough granted by the State by order dated 8th November, 2025. 5.
Mr. Siddharth Yadav, counsel for the Petitioner, undertakes on behalf of the Petitioner that no extension of furlough shall be sought by the Petitioner.
