% 20.03.2018 Petitioner and respondent no. 2 are settled in United Kingdom. Petitioner is represented through his Attorney, who is his father; whereas respondent no. 2 is represented through her Attorney, who is her mother. It is submitted that marriage of petitioner and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce passed by the Family Court, Brentford, U.K.

It is submitted that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 amicably. Petitioner's Attorney has handed over a cheque of `7,50,000/- favouring respondent no. 2 Ms. Preeti Puri Babbar, to the Attorney of respondent no. 2, which has been accepted by the

Attorney, subject to its realization. Attorney of respondent no. 2 says that `7,50,000/- has already been received in trial court. Attorney of respondent no. 2 says that respondent no. 2 has no objection in case FIR is quashed, subject to realization of the cheque handed over to her today. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 428/2013 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at P.S. Dwarka South and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to, however, realization of the cheque.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
