% 20.03.2018 It is submitted that there was marital discord between the petitioner and respondent no. 2.

Apart from the present FIR No. 368/2015 under Section 308 IPC registered at P.S. KNK Marg on the complaint of respondent no. 2, other cases are also pending between the petitioner and respondent no. 2. Petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Lok Adalat held in Patiala Court on 9th December, 2017.

It is, thus, prayed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. It is submitted that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 has already been

dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 5th February, 2018 passed by the Family Courts, Rohini, Delhi.

Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner of his own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and he has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 368/2015 under Section 308 IPC registered at P.S. KNK Marg and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, in view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 before the Lok Adalat, Patiala Court.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
