This writ petition has been preferred on behalf of the Petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- "a) Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ thereby directing the Respondent No. 2 to grant Petitioner the relief in the form of a one-time age relaxation in the subsequent conventional recruitment (i.e., written test along with interview) to be conducted by the Respondent No.2, allowing them to compete for the positions for which they have been preparing over the years;"

India and Indian Space Research Organisation which are notified under Section 14 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 and therefore in view of the judgment of the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court in L. Chandra Kumar v. Union of India and Others, (1997) 3 SCC 261, the Administrative Tribunal is the only Court of first instance for adjudication of the issues raised by the Petitioners.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed, with liberty to the Petitioners to take recourse to appropriate remedies before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law.
