This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking quashing of FIR No. 127/2023, dated 27.03.2023, registered at Police Station Shaheen Bagh, Delhi under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC, 1860 and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, if any. 2.

During the pendency of proceedings the parties have arrived at a settlement which was duly recorded before the learned Judge, Family Court02, South-East, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 23.08.2024, whereby the parties stated that they have started to reside together. 3.

The petitioner nos. 1 and 2 i.e. Mr. Zaid Ahmad and Ms. Ruqaiya Khanam are present in court and petitioner No. 3 i.e. Ms. Shahana Begam is appearing through video-conferencing. They have been identified by their counsel, namely, Mr. Sher Afgon and Investigating Officer SI Manoj Kumar, P.S. Shaheen Bagh.

Respondent No. 2 i.e. Mrs. Anam Khanam is also present in Court and has been identified by her counsel, namely, Ms. Neelofer, Adv along with the Investigating Officer SI Manoj Kumar, PS Shaheen Bagh. 5.

Both the parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion. In addition, respondent no. 2 states that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure the ends of justice. This court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings. 7.

For the reasons noted above, FIR No. 127/2023, dated 27.03.2023, registered at Police Station Shaheen Bagh, Delhi under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, 1860 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

if any, are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
