By way of the present application, the applicant seeks grant of interim bail for a period of 30 days in case arising out of FIR bearing no. 587/2024, registered at Police Station Narela Industrial Area, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (hereafter 'NDPS Act'). 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the applicant submits that the father of the applicant has passed away on 27.10.2025. It is submitted that being the elder son of the family, the applicant has to organize and personally offer prayers, which are essential rituals for the peace of the departed soul. It is further prayed that the applicant is also required to attend and host Shok Sabha. It is further stated that the applicant has deep roots in society and there is no possibility of his absconding or tampering with the evidence. The applicant also undertakes to strictly abide by any condition imposed by this Court and not to misuse the liberty of bail in any manner. 3.
The learned APP for the State submits that the factum of the death of applicant's father has been verified.

This Court has considered the submissions made before this Court and has perused the record.

This Court notes that the applicant's father has unfortunately expired on 27.10.2025, and the same stands verified by the State. The applicant is the elder son and his presence at the religious ceremonies and to offer prayers for his deceased father is essential. 6.
Having regard to the aforesaid circumstances, this Court deems it appropriate to grant interim bail to the applicant for a period of fifteen (15) days, subject to the following conditions:
(i) The applicant shall furnish a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court/Successor Court/Link Court/Duty Judge concerned.
(ii) The applicant shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi during the period of interim bail.
(iii) The applicant shall not, in any manner whatsoever, attempt to contact, influence, or threaten any prosecution witness. (v) The applicant shall surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent upon expiry of period of interim bail. (vi) The period of 15 days shall be counted from the date of release of applicant.

Accordingly, the present application is disposed of in above terms. 8.
