% 23.03.2018 By this petition the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to perform the sharad/barsi of his departed mother. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State informs that the appeal filed by the petitioner is pending adjudication before this court. Since the appeal is pending before this Court, the remedy available to the petitioner is by filing an application seeking suspension of sentence. Present petition seeking parole is not maintainable. Petition is dismissed.
