By filing this petition, a prayer has been sought that a direction be issued to the respondent to expeditiously appoint the Chairman and Members of the Delhi Minorities Commission.

Mr. Neeraj Semwal, Secretary Revenue, GNCTD has joined the proceedings through video conferencing and has stated that the process of appointment of the Chairman and Members of the said Commission is going on which is likely to be completed within eight weeks.
