The present petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, 1950 seeks following prayers:- "a) Issue a Writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, directing the Ld. Labour Commissioner to decide the case pending under the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923, and to ensure that just, fair, and adequate compensation is awarded to the Petitioner; b) Direct the Ld. Labour Commissioner, Delhi to initiate appropriate proceedings and to discharge the duties instructed under the consideration of Indian for providing relief to the wife and children of deceased;

c) Pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice and equity." 4.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the husband of the latter had since passed away on 18.07.2017. It is further submitted that on 23.11.2019, the petitioner had filed her "Evidence by way of Affidavit" before the concerned authority. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date the aforesaid claim petition has not been disposed of by the concerned authority.

In view of the averments made by the petitioner and in the interest of justice, the present petition is disposed of with directions to the concerned learned Labour Commissioner to dispose of the proceedings with respect to the claim petition on behalf of the petitioner pending before it as expeditiously as possible, without giving any undue adjournment to either of the parties, preferably within a period of six weeks.

Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of. 7.

Copy of the order be sent to the concerned learned Labour Commissioner for necessary information and compliance. 8.
