This is a writ petition seeking directions to the respondent No.1 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and provide appropriate security to the petitioner.

It is stated that the respondent No.2 who is a friend of the ex-wife of the petitioner has connections with a gangster and as a result, the petitioner is getting serious threats including threat to life. 3.

The same is a serious issue.

Mr. Tyagi, learned ASC appears on advance notice and states that the threat perception of the petitioner has already been analysed and appropriate action shall be taken expeditiously and, in any case, within a maximum period of 10 days from today.

In the meanwhile, till the threat perception is analysed and appropriate orders are passed, the respondent No.1 shall ensure safety and security of the petitioner.

The respondent No.1 is expected to do everything within their means to ensure that the fundamental rights of the petitioner, including the right to life and liberty, is adequately protected. 7.
