This petition filed under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeks extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award. 4.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondent has not been appearing in the arbitral proceedings. Consequently, vide order dated 05.02.2024, the learned Arbitrator closed the right of the respondent to file its statement of defence. It is stated that final arguments have already been addressed by the petitioner before the learned Arbitrator. 5.
