O R D E R

The present petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 38/2013 registered under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at P.S. Crime (Women) Cell, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and the petitioner (husband). 3.

Ld. APP for the State, submits that in the present case petitioner is the only accused person and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim. 4.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that after ironing out their differences the parties have settled their disputes and are happily living together since one year.

Respondent No. 2, who is also present in Court, has been identified by the IO. She states that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., the petitioner, for more than one year and as of now, has no complaint against him. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 6.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith miscellaneous application.
