This petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 286/2022 dated 15th May 2022, registered at P.S. Dwarka North, Delhi, under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, based on a settlement arrived at between parties dated 25th April 2024, which is on record of this Court. 2.

Petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 as well as respondent No.2/complainant are present in Court while petitioner Nos. 3 and 4 are present through VC; all of them are duly identified by the IO and the counsel. 3.

Pursuant to the previous order dated 04th December 2024, respondent no.2 states that her goods have been returned. Compensation towards damage, of Rs. 25,000/- has also been tendered to her in the Court today by two demand drafts i.e. DD No. 000273 for Rs. 10,000/-, dated 7th December 2024 and 000272, dated 4th December 2024 for Rs. 15,000/-, both drawn on Equitas Bank which she has received and acknowledged; she states that she has no objection to the FIR being quashed.

Considering the above settlement between the parties and No Objection given by the respondent no.2, the chances of conviction of the petitioners being remote and bleak, there is no use continuing with proceedings of the present FIR as it would be a misuse of the process of the Court and an unnecessary burden on the State exchequer. Accordingly, the petition is allowed. Consequently, the FIR No. 286/2022 dated 15th May 2022, registered at P.S. Dwarka North, Delhi, under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 5.

Parties shall abide by the terms of settlement. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of. Pending applications (if any) are disposed of as infructuous.
