This writ petition has been preferred seeking the following reliefs:- "(i) restraining the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 from causing any obstructions, hindrance in running of the Weekly Bazar being held / organized on every Thursday from Gate No.3, Nangal Devat Road to Entry Gate of Vasant Kunj (Mahipalpur Ward), New Delhi and Respondent No.3-SHO, Vasant Kunj (South), New Delhi may also be directed to ensure that no obstruction / hindrance is caused in the running of the Weekly Bazar being held / organized on every Thursday from Gate No.3, Nangal Devat Road to Entry Gate of Vasant Kunj (Mahipalpur Ward), New Delhi in any manner whatsoever;

(ii) setting aside / quashing of letter No. AC/NGZ/2024/D-944 dated 04.11.2024 issued by the Respondent No.1-MCD to Respondent No.3-SHO, Vasant Kunj (South), New Delhi for removing Weekly Bazar being held / organized on every Thursday The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. (iii) pass any other order(s)/direction that this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the present case and in the interest of justice / equity."

Bearing in mind the grievance which was raised, we had requested Ms. Kalra, learned counsel appearing for the MCD, to obtain instructions.

Ms. Kalra today informs us that the list of recognized weekly bazaars was drawn up and prepared on 30 December 2009. However, this particular weekly market in respect of which a grievance is raised does not find mention or inclusion in that list. 4.

We have also been apprised by the concerned respondents of the traffic menace which is caused by the aforenoted weekly market. Ms. Kalra has also alluded to certain security concerns which are raised bearing in mind the fact that the market itself is being held near and in the vicinity of a defence officers‟ residential establishment. 5.

In view of the aforesaid, we find no justification to grant the writs as prayed for.
