for appointment as Constable (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2024 pursuant to the advertisement/notice issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions. The examination was advertised by the Staff Selection Commission based on the vacancies intimated by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The learned counsels for the respondents, who appear on advance notice, submit that the present petitions would not be maintainable before this Court and the proper remedy of the petitioners would be to approach the learned Central Administrative Tribunal (in short, 'Tribunal').

As the posts have been advertised by the respondent no.2 and the selection process is being undertaken by the respondent no.1, both of which are subject to the jurisdiction of the learned Tribunal, we find merit in the objection raised by the learned counsels for the respondents. We are, therefore, of the opinion that the petitioners should first approach the learned Tribunal for seeking the appropriate relief.

Accordingly, the above petitions are disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach the learned Tribunal.
