During the course of the hearing, it is informed by the learned counsel for the Bar Council of India (BCI)/respondent no.1 that the qualifying examination for the students who have completed their bridge course, has now been scheduled during the period 15.12.2025 - 20.12.2025. 2.
It is further stated that those candidates who will be able to clear the qualifying examination will be eligible to obtain provisional registration from the State Bar Council. Further, it is stated that although an 'All India Bar Exam' (AIBE) is scheduled on 30.11.2025, the BCI proposes to hold the next AIBE (which is conducted on a bi-annual basis) in the month of June, 2026.

It is further informed that upon provisional registration with the State Bar Council, the petitioner and the other similarly situated students/persons will have a period of 2 years to clear AIBE. In the intervening period, they would not be precluded from commencing their legal practice. 4.
After the aforesaid clarification/ statement made on behalf of the respondent/s, the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to agitate its remaining grievance/s by taking appropriate legal remedies for the purpose of assailing the validity of Rule 37 of the Rules of Legal Education, 2008.
