1.
The present petition filed under Section 29A (4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter 'the A&C Act') seeks extension of time for completion of arbitral proceedings and making of the arbitral award in two separate arbitral proceedings (hereinafter referred to as 'the first reference' and 'the second reference') involving the same parties and before the same Arbitral Tribunal.
2.
The Arbitral Tribunal was constituted with the mutual consent of both parties. The arbitral proceedings are stated to be at an advanced stage. 3.
On 09.08.2024, this Court granted a six-month extension for the first reference, extending the time until 30.11.2024, for the making of the arbitral award. As the said extended period has now lapsed, the petitioner seeks an additional six-month extension for the first reference for making of the arbitral award and a concurrent six-month extension for the second reference for concluding arguments and making of the arbitral award.
