CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJIV SHAKDHER

O R D E R

% 28.05.2018 CM APP No. 22838/2018 1.

This is an application for condonation of delay. 2.

Issue notice. Mr. Pandit accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

3.

Learned counsel says that he does not wish to file a reply to the application.

4.

The prayer made in the application is as follows: "It is therefore, prayed that the Hon'ble court may kindly be pleased to condone the delay of Twenty Six days in depositing the FDRs in the interest of justice." 5.

I have examined the assertions made in the application. W.P.(C) 3542/2018

5.1 Except for a vague averment that there was a wedding in the family of the close relatives of the petitioners, which, apparently, delayed compliance with the directions contained in the order dated 11.4.2018, nothing else has been stated.

6.

In these circumstances, while the delay in bringing on record the original FDR, is condoned, it is subject to payment of costs of Rs.3,000/-.

6.1 The costs will be deposited with the Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust. Proof of costs will be filed within three days. The original FDR will be taken on record. 7.

The application is disposed of.
