O R D E R

% 21.03.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Deed of Compromise/Mutual Settlement dated 25th July, 2015, therefore, FIR No.1150/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station New Usman Pur on the complaint of respondent no.2 may be quashed. Petitioner nos.2 to 8 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Mahendra Pal PS New Usman Pur. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She

submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 31st March, 2016 passed by Family Court, North East District, Delhi. She further submits that she has received the entire settled amount and has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and that marriage between them has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, in the interest of justice, FIR No.1150/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station New Usman Pur, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
