O R D E R

1.

The present petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 491/2021 registered under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at P.S. Prem Nagar, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioner No.1 (husband), whereas petitioner Nos. 2 and 3 are the parents-in-law of respondent No.2. 3.

Learned APP for the State submits that in the present case, the chargesheet stands filed. It is further submitted that the petitioners herein are the accused persons and respondent No. 2 is the complainant/victim. 4.

differences, the parties have settled their disputes amicably and are happily living together for the last eight months. It is further submitted that respondent No.2 has no claims or grievances left against the petitioners. 5.

The petitioners and respondent No.2 are present in Court and have been identified by their respective counsels as well as by the IO/ SI Praveen PS Prem Nagar, Delhi.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., petitioner No.1 for the last eight months and reiterates that as of now, she has no complaint against her husband or in-laws. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 7.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of along with pending application.
