O R D E R

% 27.09.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Saket Court, New Delhi on 2nd April, 2016, therefore, FIR No.289/10 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC registered at police station New Friends Colony may be quashed. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Anand Praksh of police station New Friends Colony. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She also admits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 24th December, 2016 passed by the Family

Courts, Saket, New Delhi. In terms of the settlement, petitioner no.1 has paid `5.37 lacs to the respondent no.2 toward balance settled amount. Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment entire settled amount stands paid. She has no objection in quashing of the FIR. Keeping in mind that marriage between the petitioner and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No.289/10 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC registered at police station New Friends Colony and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
