O R D E R

% 11.07.2018 The petitioners have sought protection against a threat perceived by them apropos their marriage. The learned counsel for respondent nos. 4 to 8 i.e. parents and relatives of petitioner no. 1 states that his clients have no objection to the marriage and the young couple have their blessings to carry on their life as they wish. Indeed, they have so written to the police as well. The respondents seek to meet their daughter and her husband in the Court premises. Let it be so done.

The learned counsel for the State submits the telephone numbers of two police officers has already been supplied to the

petitioners. Additionally, telephone number of a lady police officer in the jurisdiction of the Police Station where the petitioners are residing shall be furnished to them. These numbers shall be kept operational at all times so as to facilitate the petitioners to intimate the police in case of any exigency. Any such information sent to the police either through telephone or text message shall be promptly replied to. Additionally, the Beat Constable of the area shall ascertain the safety and security of the petitioners on a daily basis for the next one month. The SHO of the area concerned shall assess the threat perception and accord due protection as may be necessary. No further orders are required. The petition is disposed off in the above terms.
