% 16.11.2017 FIR No. 157/2003 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC was registered at police station New Usmanpur, on the complaint of Smt. Jai Shree (since deceased). Respondent no.2-Bhupender Kumar is brother of Late Smt. Jai Shree. The child born out of the wedlock of petitioner no.1 and Late Smt. Jai Shree is in the custody of respondent no.2. It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled the matter before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 2nd December, 2016. Terms of settlement are stated to have been complied with. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with his counsel and has been identified by ASI Suresh Kumar of police station New

Usmanpur.

He admits having settled the matter with the petitioners. He submits that terms of settlement have already been complied with, therefore, FIR may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
