The instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for seeking regular parole.

Nominal Roll dated 29.02.2016 reveals that the petitioner was convicted under Sections 363/366/376(2)(G)/34 IPC and sentenced to undergo RI for ten years with fine `10,400/-. Crl.A.561/2003 was dismissed by this Court on 10.07.2014. Nominal Roll further reveals that the petitioner has undergone five years, seven months and twenty-one days incarceration besides remission for one year, four months and twenty days as on 27.02.2016. The last furlough for the period from 26.02.2016 to 11.03.2016 was granted by the concerned DGP for two weeks. Earlier also the petitioner was granted parole / W.P.(CRL) 1032/2016

furlough at regular intervals. Grant of parole / furlough should not be a regular feature.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, I find no sufficient ground to grant further parole to the petitioner for the reasons mentioned in the writ petition at this stage. 4.

The writ petition is dismissed.
