This is a petition seeking quashing of the FIR No. 551/2023 dated 17.08.2023 registered at PS Nand Nagri under Sections 380/448/451/34 of IPC and all proceedings emanating therefrom. 2.

As per the FIR, it is stated that the property of the respondent no. 2 was sold to one Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary but the petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.2 (who are married) were occupying the property, being B-5/226, Nand Nagri, Delhi, on rent. Thereafter, the petitioner No.1 and the respondent No.2 had some altercation and thereforth it was only the respondent No.2 who was using and occupying the property with permission of Mr.

Sanjeev Chaudhary.

Subsequently, the petitioner No.1 along with the petitioner Nos.2 to 4 tried to forcibly dispossess the respondent No.2. Hence, the FIR. 3.

disputes. The respondent No.2 has agreed to cooperate in quashing of the FIR.

The petitioner Nos. 1, 2 and 4 are present and have been identified by Mr. MK Singh, learned counsel.

Mr. Sanjeev Chaudhary is present in-person and the respondent No.2 is also present and have been identified by SI Sachin Kumar, PS Nand Nagri.

The parties state that they have arrived at a settlement out of their own free will and without any undue influence, threat, pressure or coercion. 7.

The parties state that the property in question has been sold to one Ms. Meena and the sale proceeds have been divided between the parties in the settlement agreement.

I am of the view that the FIR was probably predicated on a matrimonial dispute and a dispute with regard to a property. However, since it has been settled, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings as permitted to continue any further. It is a fit case for quashing.

For the said reasons, the FIR No. 551/2023 dated 17.08.2023 registered at PS Nand Nagri under Sections 380/448/451/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
