By way of the instant petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR bearing no. 15/2017, registered at Police Station G.T.B. Enclave, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 308/323/341/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 4.

The petitioner and respondent no. 2 to 4 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Briefly stated, the facts of the present case are that petitioner and respondent nos. 2 to 4 are neighbours residing in the same locality and are known to each other. It is stated that on 24.01.2017, due to some misunderstanding, a quarrel had taken place between the parties, in which both the parties had sustained injuries. Subsequently, based on a complaint filed by respondent nos. 2 to 4, the present FIR was registered against the petitioner and his brother Asit Gautam @ Sumit (deceased) for offence punishable under Sections 308/323/506/341/34 of IPC. After investigation, the chargesheet was filed before the concerned Court. It is stated that a cross-FIR bearing No. 16/2017 was also registered against the respondents for commission of offence punishable under Section 323/341/34 of IPC. It is further stated that with the intervention of respectable persons of the society and relatives of the parties, both the parties have settled all their disputes vide Settlement Deed dated 04.11.2025.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that co-accused Aasit Gautam @ Sumit had expired on 23.01.2025.

The learned APP for the State submits that the petitioner herein has no previous involvement in any other case.

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 2 to 4 who have been identified by the concerned IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat and they have no objection, if the present FIR is quashed. 9.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 10.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 15/2017, registered at Police Station G.T.B. Enclave, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 308/323/341/506/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to the petitioner depositing cost of Rs. 10,000/- with the Delhi High Court Bar Association Advocates Welfare Fund, within a period of seven days from date and a copy of the receipt be also filed with the Registry to show compliance of the order. 11.

In view of the above, the present petition alongwith pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
