The instant petition under Section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of one year in the arbitration proceedings which are going on between the parties before the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that the Arbitral Tribunal was constituted on 19.09.2022. It is stated that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal was last extended on 08.05.2024. It is stated that since the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has come to an end on 07.11.2024, the Petitioner has approached this Court seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. It is stated that the matter is at the stage of cross-examination of the witnesses of the Respondent. In the facts and circumstance of this case, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a further period of one year so that the Award can be pronounced and no further extension of time would be required by the Tribunal. 4.

The petition is disposed of along with the pending applications, if any.
