This writ petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs:- "(i) Allow the present writ petition and quash and set aside the impugned letter dated 08.09.2025 issued by the Respondents whereby the Petitioner's application for increase of 50 MBBS seats for the Academic Session 2025-26 has been unlawfully rejected. (ii) Quash and set aside the impugned order dated 10.10.2025 passed by the Respondent No. 2 as being arbitrary, mechanical, non-speaking and violative of the principles of natural justice. (iii) Direct the Respondents to reconsider and grant approval for enhancement of 50 MBBS seats to the Petitioner Institute for the Academic Session 2025-26 onwards."

Learned counsels for the Respondents submit that the present petition whereby Petitioner seeks increase of 50 MBBS seats for Academic Session 2025-2026 is rendered infructuous since even the NEET-UG stray round of counselling announced vide notification dated 11.11.2025, whereby students were to submit their choices of institutes by 16.11.2025 (11:45 PM) has ended and therefore, case of the Petitioner cannot be considered for the current academic year.

In light of the admitted fact that the stray round of counselling of NEET-UG Exam has ended, this petition is disposed of as infructuous. It is, however, made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and all legal issues raised in the petition as also all rights and contentions of the respective parties are left open. 6.

Pending application stands disposed of.
