% 03.05.2016 Ç.M. APPL.5181/2016 The present applicant seeks a direction towards clarification of judgment dated 14.01.2016 which had held that the petitioners were entitled to the benefits of the Sixth Central Pay Commission recommendations (hereafter "6th CPC recommendations"). The directions contained in the judgment were firstly that pay arrears based upon the 6th CPC recommendations and the subsequent implementation thereto by the rules were to be disbursed with effect from 01.01.2006 in accordance with the Govt. of NCT of Delhi's circulars and that the allowances etc. were payable from 01.09.2008. We have heard learned counsel for the parties. Given the circumstances that the petitioners were compelled to approach this

Court, interest of justice would be best sub-served if interest on the amount payable to each of the petitioners is calculated for a period commencing from a common date - 01.09.2008. Consequently, interest shall be calculated on the amount payable from the period 01.09.2008 till date of payment.
