lawful tenancy and possession stand duly recognized by a judgment dated 27th July, 2023 in CS No. 10874/2016, wherein, the Civil Court has admitted and confirmed the petitioner's tenancy rights vis-à-vis respondent no. 2, i.e., Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (Regd.), who is the landlord of the premises.
5.
It is submitted that respondent no. 1, i.e., BSES Yamuna Power Ltd. (BYPL) has failed to process the petitioner's application for electricity connection made on 7th July, 2025, solely on the ground that the petitioner had not furnished a No Objection Certificate ('NOC') from the landlord. 6.
At the hearing of the case on 18th December, 2025, the submission of the counsel for respondent no.1/ BYPL was noted that a Commercial Trade License would be required for grant of electricity connection. 6.1 The said contention was disputed by the counsel for the petitioner. 6.2 Accordingly, counsel for respondent no.1/ BYPL was asked to take instructions in this regard.
7.
Mr. Sharique Hussain, counsel appearing on behalf of respondent no.1/ BYPL, submits that he has obtained instructions to the effect that the respondent no.1/ BYPL in the present case shall not insist on a Commercial Trade License as well as on a NOC from the landlord for the grant of electricity connection.
8.
Accordingly, it is directed that respondent no.1/ BYPL shall issue a new electricity connection in favour of the petitioner, without insisting on a NOC from the respondent no.2/ landlord and without insisting on a Commercial Trade License.
9.
The petitioner shall file a fresh application with the respondent no.1/ BYPL for the grant of electricity connection. The said application shall be The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

10.
The petitioner, besides applying with other codal formalities, shall also furnish the security deposit of Rs.20,000/- with the respondent no.1/ BYPL for grant of electricity connection.
11.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of and the date already fixed stands cancelled.
