By way of present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR bearing no. 350/2022, registered at Police Station Delhi Cantt, Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 279/337 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter „IPC‟).

The petitioner and complainant Diksha are present before this Court. Respondent no. 2 is also present through video-conferencing. They have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Delhi Cantt., Delhi.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that on 02.10.2022, respondent No. 2, accompanied by one Diksha, was proceeding towards Aerocity on a Scooty. It is further stated that approximately at 4:30 p.m., the said scooter was allegedly hit by a motor vehicle, causing both occupants to lose balance and fall onto the carriageway near Sanjay T-Point Flyover on National Highway 48, Dwarka Loop, Delhi, resulting in minor injuries to both persons. It is further stated that the petitioner herein, who was driving his car had voluntarily taken the injured persons to a Hospital for immediate medical attention and first aid and they were discharged on the same day as the injury were minor in nature. Based on the aforesaid event, the present FIR was registered on 25.04.2023 against the petitioner under the relevant sections.

It is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Settlement dated 30.04.2025, entered between them at Delhi Mediation Centre, Patiala House Court, New Delhi. 10.

entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by the complainants that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and two demand drafts bearing nos. 818196 and 818197, dated 18.11.2025, drawn on Kotak Mahindra Bank, for the sum of Rs.50,000/- and 75,000/-respectively have been handed to complainant Diksha in Court today. Both the complainants further state that they have no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 11.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 12.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 350/2022, registered at Police Station Delhi Cantt, Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 279/337 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of. 14.
