This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator by a further period of 6 months for making and publishing the final Award.

Ms. Mundhra, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that the proceedings were delayed initially due to the father of the claimant being unwell.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Mathew, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.
I am satisfied that a sufficient cause has been shown. 6.
Hence, the mandate of the Arbitrator is extended upto 6 months from today to conclude the arbitration proceedings. 7.
