This is a petition filed under Section 29A (4) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitrator by a period of 1 year from today for making and publishing the award.

Mr. Kumar, learned counsel of the petitioner, states that there was bereavement in the family of the Arbitrator and hence, the delay. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Ms. Rajput, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the petition being allowed. 5.

I am satisfied that a sufficient cause has been shown. 6.

Hence, the mandate of the Arbitrator is extended upto 1 year from today to conclude the arbitration proceedings. 7.
