The petitioner seeks ante-dated promotion as Sub-Inspector from 2017.

This would require the petitioner to implead persons who would have been promoted or appointed as SI after 2017 whose seniority would be affected if the relief in the petition were to be granted, applying the law laid down in State of Rajasthan v Ucchab Lal Chhanwal1, Vijay Kumar Kaul v Union of India2, Indu Shekhar 1 (2014) 1 SCC 144 2 (2012) 7 SCC 610 KUMAR 19:20:20 W.P.(C) 17576/2025

As this is a fresh petition, we allow the petitioner to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to reinstitute the petition after impleading necessary parties.
