This writ petition is preferred on behalf of the Petitioner for a direction to the Respondent Department to issue separate PIDs for the property of the Petitioner bearing No. E-8, Ground Floor, Connaught Place, New Delhi ('subject property').

It is averred in the writ petition that Petitioner is the absolute and sole owner of ground floor in the subject property. He was initially a joint owner of the ground floor of the subject property in the year 2008 along with late The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Sh. Kuldip Singh, the co-owner, however, by virtue of a Release Deed dated 26.10.2023, he became the sole and absolute owner of the subject property. It is further averred that the subject property has a unified PID for the ground floor and mezzanine floor albeit both are registered under different names and in different registries. Petitioner has been writing to NDMC for several years to assign separate PID for ground floor owned by the Petitioner but there has been no action compelling the Petitioner to approach this Court. It is urged that separate PID Number shall enable the Petitioner to pay the property tax after proper assessment is carried out. 5.

Counsels, as above, accept notice on behalf of the respective Respondents.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner, at the outset, submits that he has received an intimation vide letter dated 12.12.2024 from NDMC seeking production of some documents mentioned therein and the Petitioner is ready and willing to furnish the documents within five weeks from today after which NDMC shall process his case for separate PID. Letter dated 12.12.2024 is taken on record.

Learned counsel for NDMC appearing on advance copy of the writ petition submits that once the requisite documents sought for from the Petitioner vide letter dated 12.12.2024 are furnished, NDMC shall examine the matter and take necessary action.

In view of the aforesaid, this writ petition is disposed of directing the Petitioner to furnish the documents mentioned in the letter dated 12.12.2024 to NDMC within five weeks from today.
