Petitioners seek initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for violating the directions contained in order dated 19.07.2024 passed by learned Division Bench of this Court in W.P. (C) No. 9784/2024. 2.

As per the specific directions contained therein, respondent no. 1 was directed to decide the representation of petitioners as expeditiously as possible preferably within eight weeks in accordance with law. Learned counsel for respondent appears on advance notice and admits that the matter has got delayed. She, however, submits that as per instructions, matter is under process and the directions contained in the aforesaid order shall be duly complied with and decision would be taken positively within three weeks from today. It is assured that petitioners and respondent no. 3 in the writ petition shall also be sent some communication for the purposes of affording them a personal hearing within one week from today.

In view of the aforesaid statement and assurance, Mr. Shiv Charan Garg, learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners, at the moment, are not interested in pursuing their present petition. He, however, submits that in case nothing is done despite expiry of the time as undertaken above, petitioners may be permitted to revive the present contempt petition. 5.

In view of the above, present petition is disposed of as not pressed. Liberty, as prayed, is granted.
