Petitioner seeks initiation of contempt proceedings against respondent for not complying with the directions contained in order dated 25.11.2022 passed by learned Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in W.P. (C) No. 16244/2022. Paras 5 and 6 of said order read as under: - "5. After perusal of the record, contentions made in the petition as well as the innocuous prayer made on behalf of the petitioner and no objection from the respondents, this Court is inclined to allow the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner.

6. The petitioner is directed to file an appeal under Section 185 of Delhi Land Reforms alongwith the copy of the instant petition as well as the certified copy of this order before Deputy Commissioner, North within two CONT.CAS(C) 1955/2024 1 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. weeks from today. On receiving the appeal, the Deputy Commissioner is directed to dispose of the same after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and thereafter pass a detailed and reasoned order in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within six months." 2.

Learned counsel for respondent appears on advance notice and submits that the arguments have already been heard by the learned District Magistrate and as per instructions, the appeal in question shall be decided within a period of three weeks from today.

In view of the aforesaid statement and assurance, learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner, at the moment, is not interested in pursuing his present petition. He, however, submits that in case nothing is done despite expiry of the time as undertaken above, petitioner may be permitted to revive the present contempt petition.

In view of the above, present petition is disposed of as not pressed. Liberty, as prayed, is granted.
