The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 312/2025 dated 11.07.2025, registered at Police Station Mayur Vihar PH-I, for offences under Sections 115(2) / 126(2) / 332(c) / 351(3) / 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 ('BNS'). 2.
The brief facts are that Respondent No. 2 is a principal of a school in Trilokpuri. It is alleged that on 10.07.2025 at around 01:30 PM, when Respondent No. 2 was working with a teacher namely, Abid Ali, the petitioners arrived and asked whether it was the Principal's Office.

affirmative, one of the petitioners struck Respondent No. 2 on his face with an object due to which the he got injured and his left eye began to bleed.

It is alleged that Abid Ali tried to intervene, whereafter, Respondent No. 2 shouted to call his staff. It is alleged that the petitioners thereafter started to scuffle and attack the staff of Respondent No. 2.

It is alleged that when Respondent No. 2 tried to escape, the petitioners surrounded him, and he heard Petitioner No. 1, who was also an employee of the school, telling other petitioners to beat Respondent No. 2. It is alleged that the petitioners also threatened to kill them.

It is alleged that the staff managed to save Respondent No. 2 by locking him inside an office. Pursuant to a complaint made by Respondent No. 2 the police registered the present FIR. 7.
The present petition is filed on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes by way of Compromise Deed dated 22.08.2025, out of their own free will, without any coercion, threat or undue influence.

The parties are present in person and have been duly identified by the Investigating Officer.

The petitioners tender an unconditional apology for their behaviour and undertake not to indulge into any such activity in future.

On being asked, Respondent No. 2 states that he is satisfied with the apology tendered by the petitioners. He states that he has settled the disputes with the petitioners without any coercion or pressure.

He further states that does not wish to pursue any proceedings arising out of the present FIR and has no objection if the same are quashed.

Offences under Sections 115(2)/126(2)/332(c)/351(3) of the BNS are compoundable in nature.

This Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by relegating the parties to the learned Trial Court for filing an application to compound the offences. 14.
Keeping in view the nature of dispute and that the parties have amicably entered into a settlement, this Court feels that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the dispute alive and continuance of the proceedings would amount to abuse of the process of Court.

However, keeping in mind the fact that the State machinery has been put to motion, ends of justice would be served if the petitioners are put to cost.

In view of the above, FIR No. 312/2025 and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are quashed, subject to payment of cost of ₹20,000/- by the petitioners to be deposited with the Delhi Police Martyrs' Fund within a period of 4 weeks. 17.
Let the proof of deposit of cost be submitted to the concerned SHO.
