The present petition has been filed for the issuance of directions in the nature of mandamus for the grant of parole for a period of 60 days on account of medical condition of the petitioner. 2.

The petitioner is currently lodged in jail serving life sentence. It is submitted that he has already undergone more than 11 years of imprisonment. His application for parole submitted to respondent authorities on 16.09.2025 is still lying pending without any decision or reply. 3.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel who appears for the State submits that the application was not filed through Superintendent Jail but was filed directly to MHA and 2-3 weeks time is required for disposal of the said application.
