The present petition under Section 29A(5) & (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed by the Petitioner for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

Material on record indicates that an Arbitral Tribunal was constituted by the parties through mutual consent and Hon'ble Justice R. Banumathi, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, was appointed as the Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate on the disputes between the parties on 17.09.2022. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is coming to an end on 25.11.2025, and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. therefore, the present petition has been filed for extending the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

It is stated that matter is at the stage of final arguments and, therefore, the mandate of the Arbitrator be extended.

In view of the facts of the present case, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal till 30.09.2026, so that the award can be pronounced.

The petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
