This is a petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period further period of 2 months to make and publish the final Award.

It is stated that the parties were trying to settle the matter and hence, the delay.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over in the Court today Additional Documents i.e., (1) Copy of the email correspondence between the learned Arbitrator, Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and parties to the arbitration proceedings, and (2) E-mail dated 04.12.2025 sent to the learned counsel for the respondent along with the proof of service. The same are taken on record. 4.

For the said reasons, I am satisfied that the respondents have been served. However, despite service there is nobody appearing on behalf of the respondents.

I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 2 months from today to make and publish the Award.

The period from 13.09.2025 till today stands regularised. 8.
